Dr. Matthias Runge joined the firm Sander & Krüger following its formation in the year 2012 and became partner in 2019.

 

He gained in depth experience in the Life Sciences industry in Europe and the US and held positions of increasing responsibility in Legal and Compliance as Vice President Legal at Lonza, Head Legal at Novartis Pharmaceuticals in Basel, Switzerland and Origgio, Italy, Head Legal Drug Innovation & Approval at Sanofi Aventis and Associate General Counsel at Aventis Behring.

 

At a law firm specializing in Life Sciences in Munich, he started his career before joining the Sanofi Aventis Group.

Dr. Runge is one of the founders of the Pharmaceutical Law Course at the University of Marburg, School of Law, and is lecturer for pharmaceutical law. He is also teaching at the Master Course for Pharmaceutical Law in Marburg as well as advising medicinal product and medical device companies, biotech and consulting companies and is focusing on Life Sciences law, transactions, compliance and unfair competition law.
